Robert Langlands transformed modern mathematics through a vast system of conjectures connecting number theory, automorphic forms, representation theory and geometry. The program began with a speculative 1967 letter to André Weil, written while Langlands was a young professor at Princeton. Its principles of reciprocity and functoriality have since guided major breakthroughs across arithmetic and analysis. This documentary follows his path from British Columbia and Yale to Princeton and the Institute for Advanced Study.
